Haruhi is actually relatively unrecognisable in that image. At least the others have a strong resemblance to how they looked in previous series', but Haruhi looks completely different.

I'm more curious to know if Kyon is standing, sitting, or if that expression is to tell us he's just as baffled about it all as we are.

Obviously the whole room has folded just behind where Haruhi is standing and the rear half is tilting towards the camera. Nagato is trying to keep her balance while this happens (and stop the table from sliding away).

Kyon and Koizumi are simply cardboard cutouts Haruhi has had made to stand in for them when they can't be at meetings.

Haruhi looks almost unrecognisable, and is Mikuru not in The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan? It's been years since I watched the 2 season of Haruhi so I can't really remember what happens to be honest.

It's the earliest starter of the new season though, isn't it? So I suppose that might even things out a little - but yeah, odd number. I hope they're not planning to pull another Endless Eight on us..
