The best shows you haven't seen (or read)

Anything with more than 200 episodes behind it, when I think of shows like that I get overwhelmed at the sheer scope.
All 35 of them
Must be more than that, presuming I'm looking at the same list, since that doesn't include the ep count for currently running series.

Anime: Texhnolyze - seen some screencaps and heard a little about the story, sounds suitably my thing.

Manga: Bokurano - heard pretty good things about it while the art and concept intrigue me.

Texhnolyze
This. It's been sitting on my selves (then packed into a box and moved, twice) for over a year without being watched. The same goes for bloody Mushi-shi because I never got round to buying volumes 3 and 5 (opens box and finds Char's Counter-attack and End of Eva where they should be - they have slip-cases you see, there is *some* logic).

The same thing happened with my anime legends release of Wolf's Rain, shifted around my desktop for a month before disappearing into my cupboard for another, resurfacing as I toyed with the idea of watching it, then back into storage again for about two more.

Glad I did watch it in the end though, turned out to be a decent series...

Forgot that, about 40 then. Add: One Piece, Anpanman, Sazae-san, Chibi Maruko-chan, Conan and Bleach. With (2005) Doraemon and Naruto Shippuden at 195 eps ongoing.

I wonder if anything else running now or soon will get that far. Fairy Tail I guess "could", but I doubt it. Maybe some of the truly "for kids" shows, but I don't keep up with what's going on there.

Naruto is the only shonen show I've sat down to watch. (up to around the 182nd episode) Even some of the filler is half-decent, but then I'm a sucker for the nonsensical silliness of the one-shot episodes doubt I'll ever get around to to the other 32 episodes, not while volume 8 is still priced at £22, I'm not paying that for filler.

Actually I could probably list around a shelves worth of shows that I have just sitting there.

Rumbling Hearts, Samurai Gun, Heat Guy J, Wolf's Rain, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, Last Exile, Hellsing, Elfen Lied and Paranoia Agent

Really must stop spending money until I actually sit down and watch things.

133 is the greatest anime episode mankind will live to see - an episode covering a fight in an anime TV series where the characters spent more time exchanging blows than talking, with random 'I know kung-fu!' stances thrown in for Sasuke to make.

Too bad about what came after that episode, mind you. I've still not fully recovered from watching Tony the Tiger and postmen ninja in Naruto...

Any Satoshi Kon stuff I realised after they listed the things he had done when he died I had watched none of them.

Other things would probably be the original Gundam shows. I am not really a mecha fan but I always see the early Gundam stuff getting high praise.

Manga wise there are probably plenty of the longer running titles like Berserk that I have just been too daunted by the volume count and cost to get into, especially as they get older and it is harder to find all the volumes.
