Tesco doesn't like people in pajamas!

I herd about this on Mock The Week and that it's ironic that one of their adverts shows Martin Clunes walking in in his pyjamas, buying some fruit and walking out again :D

Not as ironic as the swift cover ads :p According to their policies they don't insure Musicians like Iggy Pop...

I'm now tempted to walk in there wearing pyjamas and blazer now. ....I would need to buy some first however. I hear ASDA have some good deals. =P

I love this comment;

Health and safety in the UK is getting beyond ridiculous. It wasn't very long ago that I was stopped in the street by a copper who claimed that I was a danger to the public. I honestly don't understand how pretending to karate chop people to the face, but trying to stop as close to their nose as possible is really THAT dangerous. I mean, I did a few lessons of karate when I was 8, so I think I've got a good grasp of how it should be done. How many lessons of karate had the copper had? Absolutely none at all. Who then, is more likely to know what aspects of karate are a danger to the public? Yes, that's right; me! I was put in prison due to the argument/fight that followed. Luckily though, in my karate lessons, I'd learned to karate chop breeze blocks. I applied this skill whilst in my cell and am typing this from an internet cafe in a secret location.

What a joke that guy is, lol.

Well, its not being enforced in Tesco Express just yet (since people from my school are always in there) and Sainsburys either, so, er... I understand the reasoning behind that, though. Kids aren't trustworthy. Corner shops have that three/four kid cap, and I guess shopping markets can't do that.

I absolutely concur with the pajamas thing though. If you have to go out in public wearing them, you shouldn't have the right to live. There's a big jump from looking dressed up (with make-up etc etc) and not wearing your pj's.

lol, as far as i know you don't do chops in karate

I just love the fact he assumes "A few lessons when I (he) was 8" is enough to say he's mastered karate. lol.
I've watched hundreds of karate / kung-fu movies. I'm greater than Bruce Lee!!!!

I fully support this!
Its a big problem here in dublin. I've seen a few stores with signs in the window saying no pjs...

I'm sick of having to look at nackers in their sweaty old pjs and slippers... its vile! Lazy disgusting tramps.

I mean what kind of woman walks out her front door wearing the same clothes shes been laying scratching her big fat repugnant ass in? Ill tell you what kind of woman! A f*cking dirty filthy slag thats what who...

...but each to their own i suppose

i'm waiting for the sequel "the shopper strikes back" in which a shopper sues tesco, as they haven't placed all food/shopping in alphabetical order to accomidate OCT sufferers.

In ascending or descending order? if multiple matches, by chronogical sorting?

They'll need to send out a nationwide Poll to find out the answers to that question and supply all feedback to the national organization of health and safety nuts. Then pass it by the Political correctness groups and ethnic groups to make sure that it doesn't offend anyone.

Then i'll condem them to a vipers pit, covered in chicken stock for being such petty waste of spaces.

In a way I admire the french ban on veils. Screw polically correct and adapt to my culture they scream. While I do understand what they are trying to do, I can only think it's sad that the women are not given the choice to choose! I mean, prosecute the husbands / fathers who force this into their women, but not ban the women from going to public places / usign public transport. These will only make the women in need of help even more hesitant to seek for it.

Anyway, I digress - People in their pj's in tesco? Unless they are lingerie model kind of people, no thanks.

I'm against this move because I know the kind of places this happens. The only time these particular people leave their houses is to buy food, because they're perpetually unemployed. If Tesco makes them buy clothes other than pyjamas the money will have to come out of their benefit payments, necessitating a rise in taxes.

I think they know that the most likely place these people are going to buy clothes is Tesco. They're just trying to increase the amount of money in the lucrative Taxpayer > Benefits > Tesco chain.

so what would tesco's do if these guys showed up?
