A teaser for Hayao Miyazaki's next film, The Wind Rises, is now online ahead of its July 20th release in Japan.





Hayao Miyazaki's film follows Jirou Horikoshi, the designer of Japan's famed Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter plane of World War II. It witnesses the relationship between a male narrator and a woman named Naoko Satomi. Jirou Horikoshi is voiced by Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno. He is surrounded by live-action actors like his co-star Miori Takimoto (Sadako 3D 2, Rinco’s Restaurant).

Cannot wait for this, I've missed Miyazaki's work. Recent Ghibli has been very hit and miss for me, I'm really looking forward to seeing the master return.

It's a shame it will take about a year to hit UK shores :(
