My Nana died of a brain haemorrhage last year, and to be honest, I'm glad he went quickly, if he had survived, the amount of brain damage he would have been left with could have been catastrophic. Understandably, the Pokémon fandom is broken.

My thoughts and feelings are with his family and those close to him.

It's heart-breaking to hear these things, but there's a further sentiment of melancholy in me in knowing that the man who penned the first episode of Pokemon has passed on.
