Summer Wars Pushed Back to Feb 2011

Railgun
Stright from the Twitter:
This summery weather reminds of some bad news i have to share with! Had to push #SummerWars DVD/BD pushed back to Feb 2011 due to dub dates.

Now Before anyone rips manga a new one over this, keep in mind Summer Wars is a Bandai Ent. Title so I'm in no way surprised.

No change for Euraka Seven: Pocketful of Rainbows though, that's due for September.

Yeah, I pretty much stopped importing because of Bandai. Terrible release schedules, constant delays, coupled with dire quality control.

Given how long it took Bandai to release The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Sword of the Stranger, neither am I. Bleh.

Disappointing.

Does... anyone else realise Feb 2010 was three months ago?
Sorry, I momentarly contracted the dumb by putting all my Intelligence into trying to hate Bandai Ent. To death like in that one Penny Arcade comic.

That little difference of opinion they had with their dubbing studio couldn't have helped.
go on.

Bang Zoom had a whole 'anime is dead' moment, crying that fansubs was killing off their anime business, and opining that Bandai would cease business in the near future... to which Bandai retorted...
I don't see a single mention of Summer Wars in those statements nor has Bandai even mentioned Bang Zoom working on Summer Wars. (I'd be more inclined it would be an Ocean dub like how Girl Who Leapt though time was)

Bummer!

I was only really xcasually interested in the movie, though. I'll still pick it up, knowing we've got a region 2 release to look forward to.

I'm more interested in this Eureka Seven: Pocket full of Rainbows thing. First I've heard of it.

And, y'know... Eureka Seven is faaaaantaaaastic!

As for the delay for Summer Wars, better late than never I guess.

Met Jerome on Saturday - missed my chance to ask questions to him though as they were about to go in for the screening of Summer Wars.
