Namco yesterday released a short trailer of Soul Calibur 4, albeit with no gameplay footage, but did show three returning characters new models. mitsurugi, ivy and Nightmare.

Its not due out until 2008 but even still i'm looking forward to it. Will probably get it on the 360 insead of the PS3. Here's hoping that the likes of Seong Mina, Taki, Kilik etc return.

I wish there was more than just still but its something I will probably buy for the PS3 as I like the gameplay of the Soul Callibur games.

I have to say that Ivy looks like pure gaming porn, god bless 'em

Since thats only a release for the 360 and PS3, here is a SC game for the Wii.

Soul Calibur Legends is going to be different in the fact that instead of being a fighting game like its predicessors, its going to be a action-adventure game Set between the Soul Blade and Soul Calibur games.

Four characters will be available to start with: Siegfried, Mitsurugi, Taki and Isuka(original character, travels with Siegfried) and as you progress through levels, you gain new skills.

This'll be interesting to say the least, since i never really expected this type of game for the SC series at all.

Well from what i read, the four mentioned are the four initially available, so i am guessing there is more to get, but as to who and how i don't think is available the now..though i think i saw a screen with astaroth in it

I've played a few of the SC games in multiplayer, really fun I have to say. Never owned one so I'm looking forward to it coming out on Xbox360. I saw the trailer featured on Xbox live and downloaded it, looked as great as usual.

i like the cg artwork for Lyod, however the game so far looks a bit dissapointing.
now if Lyod was in Brawl, now that would be better news.
(for some reason i have a feeling he will be announced for brawl)

T-O-S! T-O-S! T-O-S! :D
Seung Mina, Nightmare AND Lloyd! Now that's a line-up!
Dunno about the gameplay, but we'll see, when I get it.

Bump again for an update i never expected. It seems, for those that don't know, the guest characters for SCIV, are Darth Vader and Yoda, which makes me wonder, why? The seem extremely out of place for it.

Sucks that people are hating on GOOD characters being put into a game regardless if they're out of place or not. IIRC Vader is PS3 exclusive Yoda is 360 exclusive.

i don't mind that they are in it, it'll be interesting to see how they play, its just that they feel really out of place that makes me wonder. Still its a while away from released so we'll see what its like then.

Having them as different version exclusives is stupid. It's not like the game's really gonna be a massive seller anyway (but I think this will help a lot), and I doubt anyone in their right mind will buy both versions.

It made sense only having Link on GC and Tekken guy on PS2, but splitting up Star Wars characters (with no console allegiance) is nothing more than money-grabbing. It's just crap.

Especially since I'd end up stuck with Yoda (along with the rest of the SC characters who do nothing for me, Vader might make it more bearable...maybe)...guess I'll stick with DOA and VF.

Well Considering the popularity of the Soul Calibur series as a whole, i expect SCIV to sell extremely well, just like its predicesors(sp?). I personally think its a great series, far better than some that are available now, though i did hear Legends was a total flop, but i'll see when and if its released here.

Wow, that's kinda cool. After the last run of secret characters I never expected Star Wars, I just checked on the 1up site and they reckon there's a good chance that they may be a couple more SW characters to come.

I think they'll have to pull something seriously amazing from out of their sleeves though, I don't know many people that are that impressed with SC these days. Those people I know with a DreamCast (including moi), still find the original the best to play by far. everybody else kinda stopped at SC2. Soul Caliber Legends will be interesting, but it could bomb, something similar to Ninja Gaiden might be cool.
