Sony's Anime+ intended for Central Europe

It's a shame about this, but I guess I've learnt to hold back any real excitement in the few years I've been running this site. It would of been great, but oh well.. back to the drawing board!

Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

If we are showing it, we should have the right to watch it. I hate this, UK should argue with sony until we get the channel as well. Because we should have equal rights with other country. Sony, bug off and let us know when we get our anime channel in the uk. Because if we can't watch it, then no-one in europe will, if you find another company out of the uk that will.

Paul, has this been fully decided or can we still have hope for a anime channel in the uk. It seems olny a sony employee quoting one thing, and it might be a different story if we hear another employee saying another.

Well, might as well infiltrate sony headquaters metal gear solid style.

So... they use our power to show other countries what we want to see... I'd tell them to bugger off!

If what the Sony employee says is true, then the words above I agree with and then some.

Bloody cheek!

But then, it is Sony were talking about...

It was to be expected, to be honest, at the moment we're not a mega target for an anime audience, really, so why not use our country to host an anime channel in another country. Thanks Sony, you're a really great company.

To be expected really, we're always being used or screwed over like this, they wouldn't dare stick the broadcasting center in France, Germany, Italy and the rest of the many counties in europe because it might upset them.

Are you being sarcastic, sony should try at least to persuade uk to watch some anime. Sony, how do you know uk won't like it until you try. And don't even say that we go out of buisness, you're filthy rich with the tvs, phones, playstation and other stuff. Hardly to break the bank of sony

I wonder if there is a way we can hack into it.
I don't have Sky or cable myself so I'm not sure how it works, but would we be able to get this channel in the 'International' section of Sky listings, like with Channel S? Though I have no idea what languages it will be in.

hmm, well i may be able to pick up this channel afterall!
i have a satellite dish that has access to all sorts of channels from around the world, and has lots of european channels. so it might pick up on my sattelite! (but may have to subscribe for it -_- )

And the uk once again gets screwed over. Big effing supprise.

Course then again, anyone would run with thier tails between thier legs after seeing Toonami UK and NarUK.

Hi guys this is my first post on this site.

I will like to say why us! Im sick with people telling me Anime is just a bunch of kiddy cartoons which they think are the likes of Bayblade and Pokemon. I thought that if there was a major anime channel that had showed us animes like Lain, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Elfen Lied and others it would have change the anime industry in the UK. But now cause of this its another dam let down. We have hardly any decent animes compared to the US when they are gonna put something like Bleach in a month time which makes it sound like a more of a let down.

I think it was a week ago when I contacted Chris Roudette and I can show you what he sent back to me. Anyone who has contacted him probably got the same. Im kind of sorry about this but Im not really use to posting. Right click on the link and click on "save Target as" cause it may not come clear on explorer.
