So Ra No Wo To anime to licensed by Beez?

According to German anime/manga magazine AnimaniA, Beez has licensed So Ra No Wo To and will release it on DVD this fall. But this could still means it may not reach the UK as other BEEZ licenses like City Hunter or Hare+Guu have been released in Europe but not in the UK.

If it's euro and not UK that tends to mean someone else has UK rights (normally one of the US distros), NB where CR rights were (United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland). We'd be with whoever licenced it for that region.

I love the idea of Beez having the rights to something only to not be able to sell it here because of legal cock blocking. Does wonders for the "don't pirate ****!" movement.

So this is the other early license they picked up before US distros for a Sub only release? I'd buy it purely to support the release strategy if this does actually make an appearance here.

It's slice of life, in a fairly intersting setting and does at least have some plot. Is a hell of a lot like K-on visually tho'. Not particularly moe, I watched it more to find out about the setting they were in.

and yet they still haven't picked up lucky star/k-on *rage*

Lucky Star is a tough one now but am looking at it still :). It's tough as the US release is now onto Anime Legends and that kind of model for Lucky Star could be a problem. I'm crunching numbers and keep coming back to it though :).

FYI regarding K-On it's in a holding pattern licensing wise awaiting TV sales I believe just now in Europe. I think every licensor in Europe is chewing on their hats just now waiting to hear back regarding their offers....

Best,

Andrew

There'll be more soon too! Just had trouble logging into the forums of late for some reason o_O.
My bad. I need to move hosts again, as the one we've been using seems to be always broken... ;_;

Ausgezeichnet. Here's hoping these efforts can translate into gain on our part. Good show, you studious and cultured fellows!

Hmm, I don't double dip for shows much these days, but I think I will try to find someone to at least buy this show for who otherwise wouldn't have picked it up, great licence to get.
