So I have have been given a bombshell thing today.... I am going to be a father :D My girlfriend is 3 months pregant. So I thought i would share it with you guys, sorry I haven't been around alot lately. Promise I will make it up to you guys :D

Wee bit scared. Being a dad has just hit me what is expected of me! Well as long as I don't drop he/she on their head things will turn out fine! Here's also hoping that they turn out into a anime and tottenham fan :D

im not planning to be a dad for years to come i want to enjoy a lil more freedom before i get a ball and chain lol lil joke there.

but yeah how do you feel about the idea of becoming a daddy

Congrats dude.

I actually WAS dropped on my head by my dad (and was born 6 weeks early so bad combo!).

Personally, I'd love to be a dad, but not til I'm older (would rather be late twenties, early thirties), have found someone I'm happy to have as a partner, and have a stable career/job (kids are expensive, and I sure as hell wouldn't want to bring a kid up on a shoestring budget so they're always wanting etc).

If this is what you want then I'm glad for you, devilrules. I think it's probably enjoyable to have a few blank-slate little humans to mold as you see fit. Though any kids I ever have might not see it that way, given that my idea of parenting would be preparing them to survive in a Fallout/The Road style future. "Good shot Suzie! Now, go chop some firewood for the stove and when you get back I'll teach you the forty-eight reasons why other people aren't to be trusted."

The problem then is when they grow up and start harbouring resentment for at least some of the way you brought them up. Also their mother(s) might want some say in said child rearing, which would just complicate things. Also I really hate whining, needy people who can't do anything for themselves. Which tends to describe babies. Anyway, if you think you can hack it then good for you.
 
Hey, I'm a fun loving guy. There's lots of stuff in this world I like and find enjoyment in. Animation, gaming, film, nature, electronic and mechanical machines. Humanity... not so much, that is true.
