It's a fair point ... Christians aren't exactly renowned for tolerance.

You mean the Christians that manage to get on the news aren't exactly known for tolerance.

Everyone does it - as has been said, they automatically lump all people from one group with the most radical. But all the friends I would consider "proper" Christians are certainly very tolerant, and there is certainly a lot in the Bible about tolerance and self-control.

Despite how people portray christians they are supprisingly nice and tolerant.
I spend my mondays arguing with the christian missionary that comes to my college(nothing goes on mondays so this is how i spend my lunch)and despite how strongly they may feel about a matter they will considerate of others and were they stand on the matter.
