Slasher Pornos

I gotta question for ya guys. Is there an abundance of slasher pornos goin around there? (example Saw 1-3, Hostel 1-2) I never saw the big attraction to these movies but they keep showin up, are they over there as well and as big?

if you dont know what Saw or Hostel are about there movies about torture pretty much
 
eh its a term ive used along with alot of my friends, not really saying they are actual porn but that its nothing but a torture fest. i should used a different term i guess
 
They do get quite a bit of attraction, but I've never really payed attenion so I couldn't really tell you. I've seen the attractive in those types of films either. However I did enjoy Saw because it is rather interesting and has some odd twists in it. Hostel though.....
 
I enjoyed Hostel and Saw (the first time I watched them) as they had good story lines and twists, also weren't just an excuse to squirt blood blood up the walls. Saw II and III were just funny. I'm in no rush to see those films again. :?
 
Havent watched any of those films, dont give me any enjoyment what so ever lol.
So i cant really comment on it :p Alot of my friends like them though for some reason, whenever i say that i havent seen them they tell me to rent them out and watch them :S so they must be good.
 
The Saw movies are pretty terrible, actually. The director tries to force some over-done 'message' into the movie and overall, they just try too hard.

They are enjoyable, though! But probably not for the reasons that the director would like it to be ^_^

It's not actually porn in the sexually explicit way, the word in that context means that the violence is pornographic in that it shows everything in a very extreme way.
 
I never realy liked saw or hostel it just seamed a bit stupid. Some of the things that happened in the movie just mad me think Wtf is the point.
 
I havent seen any movies like Saw or Hostel gain a lot of populatity over here - at least films produced and funded over here if thats what you mean. They both had their limelight but their release didnt spark a new wave of similar films or anything like that.
Creep i suppose is the film thats comes closest to the slasherporn genre - ive watched it a couple times now and it is pretty horrible - the abortion scene is plain nasty, i just dont understand how it got away with it where Saw and Hostel received the typical "most savage film in media history" label.

Saw i have no real problem with, i actually quite like the premise but Hostel is just nasty for the sake of it. Theres no message, no style, no nothing. If i wanted to see shizz like that i'd just go to rotten.com, at least then its real violence - Hostel just assaults you with enough fake violence in enough graphic detail to try and make it real.

Dude you forgot SAW 4 which is due out later this year
 
SAW is the same boring **** all the time.

First one: Whoa, some epic message put across
Second one: Lawl, more gore and less of a message
Third one: Ok mayn, you can stop with the series now
Fourth one:... probably gonna be worse than some beheading internet video. >_>
 
Personally, I don't like over the top violence unless it's meant to be shown a comedic way or be intentionally over the top. That's why Evil Dead will always win when it comes to horror/slasher films.
 
Modern horror films ftl. I'm fed up of blonde chicks, covered in dirt, running around in a panic, breathlessly shouting "homagaw", then screaming when something jumps out at them. Then possibly dying but no if there hasn't been a sex scene yet.

You're forgetting about when they fall over a conviently placed object so that the killer can catch up to them :p
