The first chapter of Bakuman, the latest manga from Death Note creator's Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, has been released online for free (translated into English) via the Japanese Shonen Jump website, though you will need to install their Jumpland reading software, which is only compatible with Windows XP and Vista. This offer closes on August 31, so if you would like to preview Bakuman, you must do so by next Sunday.

Bakuman is a Genshiken-esque story about a pair of aspiring young artists looking to break into Japan's competitive manga industry.

Bakuman, at first I was a little unsure, considering how Death Note was. But Bakuman seems alright so far, nothing amazing, I like how it seems it's going for a bad cliché then either dodged them or destroys them, or how I see it, anyway.
