Anyone seen this?

I enjoyed what I saw of Basilisk and I've just preordered this Shinobi movie on Play.com. If the ninja are as cool as those from Basilisk, I'm totally sold!
 
I've seen it, I prefer the anime/manga's designs of the ninjas. Tenzen looks awful with white hair :lol: and the guy who fought with hair looks like a Vega/Wolverine mix. It was still a good film :)
 
I bought the Japanese release a while back, having seen only one episodes of Basilisk but the ninja fan in me forced me to so I went into it fairly blind and It really suprised me, the action is great and so is the cinemtography, its pretty gorgeous at times and the japanese release was awesome, the subs were perfect basically. I didn't like it as much as Kitamura's "Azumi" but it was still pretty sweet.
 
I havn't seen any of Basilisk, but I may check out this Shinobi film. I didn't like Azumi much, it felt sort of cheap. Maybe it's because the film is old or something, but it just felt a bit fake.

It was fairly low budget by those kind of film's standards, and it was done in about 2003 or so.
 
I really didnt like the film, it seemed kind of pointless or just too easy to guess whats going to happen. Some of the scenes in the film were beautiful but didnt make up for the rest of the film. I haven't watched any of basilisk so maybe i'll have to check it out
