Hasn't anyone ever heard of it..I read most of it and I really like the manga..You should read it and watch the anime!!

I've read the first five volumes of the manga and seen a fair amount of the edited anime (and some of the uncut version). Quite enjoying the manga so far, however I went off the anime a little after the Tao En story, there's still some good stuff but the shaman fights themselves didn't really grab me- everyone's oversoul just seemed a little over the top or ridiculous in the later episodes.

I have got the first 2 DVDs and the first voulme of the manga. I have watched alot of the episodes on Jetix and really enjoy the series.

The uncut DVD releases for Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King seem to have been indefinitely delayed (aside from what's already been released, obviously), probably due to low sales. 4Kids excuse is they didn't think it would be good saleswise to have edited and unedited versions (at least of Yu-Gi-Oh) coming out at the same time, it's unclear what (if anything) will happen with uncut versions in the future though.

Thats just....annoying (can't find any other words), is there even edited versions of Shaman King, the only other option is to buy it Japanese, and i would really prefer to watch it with the voices i'm used to

Caught a few of the eps on Fox Kids and thought it was ok but didn't really like it. Seemed a bit juvenile for my liking. I kinda saw it on the lines as a Yugioh sorta show. The idea behind it is really good though.

I've been watching the anime on fox kids for a while now, i'm pretty hooked on it. I just wish fox kids would stop showing re-runs all the time. lol.

I missed a couple of episodes and got left behind so i need to cathc up. Where abouts is the series up to on Jetix at the moment?

Tell me about it, i love that series, but that was one of the worst endings i've seen, it was almost like they ran out of funds and had to try and put it all into one episode

The manga carries on the story for a little way more, at least until that was cancelled after volume 31- volume 32 exists but won't be published unless there's enough demand for it.

Darn it, why do things like that always happen, i guess i'm just going to have to get the manga if it ever all comes out in the west, but often the manga of an anime has a slightly different feel to it, so i doubt i would be able to enjoy it as much. I'm going to do the same with Fruits Basket, but after watching the anime i can't seem to get into the manga, i prefer the structure of the anime more, and it's difficult reading something you've already watched

I always used to feel like that. Infact I made a point not to buy manga if I'd already seen the anime! So other than Sailor Moon, every manga I owned had either never been turned into an anime, or I'd never seen the anime. I feel differently now and actually enjoy reading the manga after I've seen the anime (try never to read the manga first!). Take Fushigi Yuugi as an example. I've seen the anime 6 times but I'm only just reading the manga and I'm enjoying it far more than I ever thought I would. Plus I've decided to read Kare Kano, as I want to see just how it should end, rather than the pants anime ending!

I do hope i can eventually do that also. I think it's never good to read the book of something before you watch the adaption, unless your someone who can see them as completely different stories or momentarily forget the original, which i'm not.

With Fruits Basket i want to read what i havn't watched, i could just skip past it and go straight for what i havn't seen yet, but then i would feel like i was cheating and i wouldn't know what i had missed that hadn't been put in the anime

After 4 viewings of Fruits Basket the anime, I have decided to read the manga and I've ordered the first 9 volumes! I want to see if it really does have a different ending and how different it is. Plus, I really do prefer the manga design for the characters (Yuki and Akito are so sexy in the manga  ).
That's another good reason for reading the manga version, when the character design is different as well as the story.
