Scottish Anime Characters?

Just interested to know is there any prominent Scottish anime/manga characters?

You'd be hard pressed to find any UK anime characters that aren't from England. I do know that Negima from Mahou Sensei Negima is Welsh.

Nope. No Duncan McCloud or Connor McCloud. His name is Colin McCloud in the (English dub of) the anime. Why is anybody's guess and it isn't made clear whether he originated in Scotland or just arrived there in the anime since he is adopted by a Highland clan in one of the flashbacks.

To be fair the name sounds Scottish, and he looks Scottish as well lol.

The only Scottish anime character I can think of off the top of my head is one of Konjiki no Gash Bell's filler characters, Nicholas.

Master Keaton has a few episodes set in Scotland so some of those characters I can't remember might count :lol:

That was just in the dub, though i do wonder why they gave him a scotish voice, same with the posh female english voice for the computer and episode previews

Limited voice actors I assume. Either that or they wanted to try something new.

I'm pretty sure he's intended to be, the manga goes ot great lengths emphasising the scottish accent. I doubt they'd do that unless there were some indication it was intended that way.
