(bolded the ones I want to see =3)

I just calculated how much it would cost me to go Glasgow during those dates...unfortunately, it's not financially viable, considering I'm unemployed and have Tiger & Bunny the month before.

Which really sucks, as I would LOVE to see K-ON and Phoenix Wright.

Did you factor in megabus? Or sharing a dodgy Ibis/Etap hotel room? Pretty sure you could get it done for sub £50 if you tried. Though that's not exactly pocket money if you're unemployed I guess.

I calculated that it's cheapest to get there if I get the train from Cambridge to London, then a coach from London to Glasgow - travel comes to about £45, but it is a 13 hour journey.

I'm going to wait until we hear more about what days the two films are on before making a final decision.

Phoenix Wright is likely Friday.
K-On is Saturday for sure.

TBC until final schedule is out on Sept 3 but those look likely.

Andrew,
Your friendly festival director when not consulting...

Like I said I used to live in Glasgow (earning peanuts) so I've made the long coach trip down south many times. You have to be sure it's worth it! I wonder if we could find many other people going from London to sort something?

Thanks for the info Andrew :) Seems you get to do lots of interesting things!

What's more though which people forget, is that this is a 9 day festival this time, not a 6. there is films being shown on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday between glasgow and edinburghs showings which are not yet announced, so there is still more to expect. As to what, they haven't said, but yeah, will be interesting to see what else they may have planned.

Regardless, i'll be interested to see sunrises new film alongside both Berserk films. I want to see Phoenix Wright, so i may be tempted to train it through to Glasgow and check it out.

Also, Joshawott, Battle for Doldrey is film two of Berserk, and it's only being shown in Edinburgh, Egg of the King is the first one being shown at both.

Ah yes.

Note: Don't write up lists with your iPad, it makes it harder to add in information to the end of a list xD. Also, it autocorrected Nerawareta Gakuen to "Nerawareta Garden".

Really strong lineup, I have my fingers crossed that I can at least make it to something on either of the Fridays.

Anyone who does go, I won't bother recommending the K-ON! movie (despite its awesomeness) because you already know whether you want to see that or not - but please go see Ookamikodomo.

Hum, might go see Wright at glasgow and then make a weekend of it in Edinbrugh for everything else and the education seminar.

Cuz I don't really think K-On is worth missing out on Wolf Children and Nerawareta Gakuen

Damn it. The one event of the year for which London's not unequivocally the best place in the UK to live in :(

Some good films on that lineup.

Going to Glasgow one again, though must say I'm very annoyed at not getting 2nd Berserk Film (wasn't expecting to but didn't think Edinburgh would have it either), but more annoyed about Wolf Children as I was fully expecting that. Might end up making trip through to Edinburgh will need to see if it's possible.

Afraid due to material delivery times it wasn't possible to guarantee Berserk 2 to Glasgow - Wolf Children was also unavailable for the Glasgow weekend so I had no choice on that one I am afraid - would have loved to bring it to both cities otherwise.

I'll make it up to Glasgow come the GYFF time ;).

Ah, well. Guess I'll just be waiting for them on DVD since I can't make the Edinburgh weekend due to work. Just gives me longer to get hyped about them :)

Seems the right place to say this;

Went to See T&B and, and I know i'm going to catch holly hell for saying this, I am a bit so so on it. The problem (and i'm not sure if it's mine or the films' yet) is that it focuses on Tiger and Bunny getting thier start (as in the name) and less on the actual storyline.

It really felt like one of those Shonen Jump movies where they introduce an original bad guy for the team to deal with (though his NEXT power was kinda cool).

I wish I could have went, but when I ran the numbers, it would have cost me around £200-300 just to get up to Glasgow...either that, or a 13 hour couch trip that would be about £50. Hopefully the two main films I wanted to see (Ace Attorney and K-ON!) get picked up by local distributors here.

That was kind of the point. It's most likely called The Beginning for a reason - not only is it the beginning of the story, but it's the beginning of Kotetsu and Barnaby's partnership.

Yeah, but I expect SOMETHING to be different and a random new stand user ain't going to cut it. The movie didn't even make it to Jake for goodness sake.

Andrew said ages ago that this movie was only going to cover the first 2 episodes before spinning off into its original story. Imagine how rushed the movie would have seemed if it went all the way from the beginning to covering Jake's part of the story - he was introduced in episode 10 after all.

The next film is apparently set after the main television anime, so hopefully that finishes off the Ouroboos thing. (So really, the order goes The Beginning > TV Series episodes 3-25 > The Rising).
