Looks like the news train for SLA2025 is starting! I'm an Edin enjoyer and this will be my 6th year attending!
Last year I kept an eye on the festival circuit for animation and Annecy 2024 had 5 films from Japan that would end up at SLA but this year we only had ChaO (which is also at the BFI festival in October) and Jinsei that seem like likely candidates.

Was surprised that Alice in Wonderland/Dive in Wonderland from P.A. Works wasn't in the lineup, unless thats the mystery film. The Tatsuki Fujimoto anthology is also appearing at a Thai film festival before SLA, so that's an, admittedly longshot, possibility. Should find out soon though
 
Just as a heads up in case it was missed, There have been some changes to the Edinburgh schedule.

Firstly, after listing 100 Meters and The Last Blossom for Saturday the 15th, this was changed due to wanting to avoid showings of those films conflicting. So now Angels Egg has moved from Friday the 14th to Saturday, 100 Meters changed to an earlier time (I think) and The Last Blossom (with Q&A) is on Friday where Angels Egg was. Due to 100 Meters being in one of the smaller screens on Saturday and sold out quickly, an additional showing has been added for Thursday the 13th.

Also, and this is important, tickets for myself and others have been cancelled and refunded for The Last Blossom & Angels Egg, so you will need to book again. in addition, an earlier issue where there were 2 showings of The Last Blossom were set for friday at the same time has been fixed, its just 1.
