Rumours of a...playstation 4?

I'm not surprised rumours are already out, it makes sony money so they will keep cranking out consoles until we stop buying them
 
Hi, I'm Sony... I'm going off.... the rails of a crazy train!!!

They're so gonna be bankrupt soon with PS4 already "supposedly" planned.
 
It'll just be a remake of the current PS3 really, like the slim PS2 was for the PS2, there was also talk of how to cut the cost of making the PS3s, but I didn't really read it, but thats my guess.

I like the PS3 just the way it is, apart from the network they use, HOME will not solve the problem.
 
Well of course, they just released the Playstation 3, and the playstation series being a big success they are likely to keep releasing them until they become unprofitable.
 
if thats true, think it was $100 or so, rounding numbers 3milion PS3's have been sold according to nexgenwars, but sure they've sold more, thats $300 million, but to someone like sony, thats nothing :p
 
I heard about this time ago.

Its basically going to be a PSThree, following the Pattern of:
PS1 = PSOne
PS2 = PSTwo

Well. . .i got a PS3 tax free so not too bothered, but i do think the size could get worked down a bit (mind you, its as heavy as hell; and by my personal experience, hell is quite heavy)
 
Its not that heavy... and the PS4 wont be out til 2012 at least, they will rework the PS3 before they think about the next console, plus the console sellers are yet to be released (FFXIII, MGS4).
 
The way Sony has done all their consoles up to now, the PS4 will be out about five years time. They make a new console every five years, and each one designed to last ten years (the PS1 has been almost completely phased out now, and the PS2 will begin its decline in another year or two). It's a little early for rumours of a PS4, especially when Sony have such a battle for the current generation ahead of them already...

As for the next PlayStation-branded console, my money's on a PSP2 - complete with touchscreen :p
 
i think that is just plain stupid. why would they wonna do that if their new console isnt even selling as well as they thought cus of its stupidly high price and now they are wanting to replace it with PS4 that will probebly cost even more. i think im gonna stick with my PS2 for the time being. but i dont think it will come out in 18 months noway. but if it does you have the right to laugh at me :( .
