One Piece would be even better if it didn't have all the long, and I mean long moving pictures and scans of faces, ships and scenery. There is a reason a lot of that is pure fluff and not in the manga. It doesn't add anything to anything, and honestly, as pretty as some of it looks, the music is what carries scenes like that. One Piece comes with a lot of baggage which over time, you fall for, and it becomes hard to be objective about it.
Bleach was good around episode 50. It jumped the shark there, seriously.

Go to ANN, their reviews are still heavily based upon personal preferences. One writer might like the moé in snow aspects of Kanon, whilst others might puke at the idea of watching girls with big eyes and rather watch Berserk.
