Manga UK have published release dates for three of their newest anime series (Heat Guy J, Submarine 707R and Tokyo Underground); all of which are debuting in the UK on the 13th of March (along with the second volume of Stand Alone Complex Second GIG).
13 March 2006

Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex Second GIG #2

Heat Guy J #1

Submarine 707R

Tokyo Underground Box Set
All of these release dates have been added to our regularly updated UK anime release schedule.

It's interesting that Manga will be foregoing the usual volume-by-volume release style for Tokyo Underground and just moving straight ahead with a box set, perhaps a sign of things to come, saving shelf space in high street stores and us getting an overall cheaper deal?

And I'm quite looking forward to seeing Submarine 707R, Gonzo's debut piece if I remember correctly? Any good?

Submarine 707R dates back to 2003 and Gonzo wasnt involved, its only show about Submarines was Blue Sub 6 iirc. Its a pretty good OVA but it's incomplete with the second ep ending with "to be continued"

I remember Manga saying a few months back they were thinking of releasing budget boxsets, which is all to better with regards to my overabused wallet. ;)

Personally though I'm looking forward to Heat Guy J; not least because Yuki Kajiura composed the music.

I don't see why they are releasing a totally new series as a box set.. Tokyo Underground is only a few years old and seems good. Can't really complain though, hope its a decent box set tho :)

Does anyone know what USA company released it?

Its licensed by Geneon

im looking forward to these, im hope this is the start of anime getting cheaper over here and as the market is alot smaller over here i think more companies should start to make things cheaper to pick up a more mainstream crowd (mvm also did a great example of this by the budget box sets in the works).
