Recommendations for anime with a gentle feeling

Not sure if their is a bigger thread for recommendations, please let me know if there is!

Maybe you guys can help me:). I'm looking for anime with a gentle feeling, that give you the feeling that daily life is full of little wonders if you'd only look. After an episode you feel like you had a warm bath and reflect on the gentle life lessons this anime gave you. A plus if it is set in an interesting world. Also: I want to be able to buy the anime, so it has to be available on bluray or dvd (or was in the past).

Perfect examples:
-Aria, My neighbour Totoro, Whisper of the heart, Only yesterday

Good examples:
  • Amanchu, Flying witch, Hakumei and Mikochi, Mirai, Barakamon (all of these are a bit more hyper at times with their comedy at times, though they are great in their own way)
  • Haibane renmei, Mushishi, Girls last tour, Kurogane communication (these are too dramatic at times for the gentle feeling I'm looking for, though they are great in their own way)

These did not really click with me (yet):
-Non non biyori (no click with the characters yet, also the cuteness can distract a bit)

Haven't seen yet, but will watch:
-Laid back camp

Thank you!

Highly recommend Sketchbook ~full color's~ based on what you're describing. The main character is always wandering around and seeing little things that pique her interest. There are quite a few background characters and the segments focusing on them tend to be more comedy-driven, though not to the point that it detracts from the gentle nature (as far as I remember, it has been several years since I last saw it).

The opening probably does a better job at conveying the feeling of the show than I can in words:

I'd have to say that Sound Of The Sky really isn't "gentle" seeing as it has a lot of war references but one that you'd probably like is called Bermuda Triangle-Colorful Pastorale. It's kind of an obscure series, I saw one episode and got the jpbd of it which is really rare because it was a packin with a Bushiroad card booster set (japanese release only) and made my own version with english subtitles.
Daily life for mermaids comes with everyday issues. Follow the adventures of five young mermaids as they explore their town and the world around them in this delightful slice-of-life series that takes viewers to an enchanting world beneath the waves.

Thank you!
Based on your list, I think Natsume's Book of Friends would be right up your alley. It has that same quiet, reflective atmosphere as Mushishi and Aria, with gentle storytelling and a lot of warmth without relying on constant comedy.
I'd also recommend Kino's Journey the 2003 version. It's a little more philosophical, but each episode feels like a small, self-contained story that leaves you thinking afterwards. Since you're already planning to watch Laid-Back Camp, I think that's another excellent choice for the kind of calming experience you're looking for.
