Recommend me some DS games

Ok so I got a Nintendo DS for christmas, i have never really looked at the games as although i have hinted at wanting one to take with me to anime conventions (great way to chat to people while watching shows or the cosplay competitions) I have never actually thought I would own one.

So I need some gaming recommendations and please tell me why you recommend the games its kinda hard to tell if I'll like it from the name alone. So far I only own Zelda Phantom Hourglass and I love that :)
 
Trauma center: Under the knife - Weird, unique, and great.
Chrono trigger - Alot of time to spend on this game.
Cooking mama - Fun timewaster.
The phoenix wright games - Most anime fans like this and it's funny :p
Pokémon pearl - :p
Mario kart (can't remember full name) - Racing mario.. Why not get it?
Call of duty 4 - Gameplay is fun, not great though. And graphics are very bad.

They're just a few of my favourite DS exclusives. Well worth picking up a Pokémon game for endless fun aswell but hold on a bit. Platinum will be out soon-ish.
 
Certainly Phoenix Wright, an often hilarious graphic adventure in which you play a defence attorney who must acquit his wrongly accused clients. Not realistic in the slightest, but it's one of the most entertaining games you'll ever play, full of amusing dialogue, crazy characters, and tense courtroom scenes.

No way the game was legendary. Seriously I got hooked to that game.

You can get the first one pre-owned for like nothing now, just do that.

After seeing Bleach on the DS I will be avoiding it, plus I already have it on the PSP.

Pokemon Platinum is definately on my to buy list, will also check out Castlevania and Phoenix Wright

It's also nothing like the PSP game (different Developers, and i trust Treasure a lot) :p But there is better games out there

It even had badass reviews. I loved it.

Dragonball Origins is decent. btw.

Can't think of anything else right now, but those are the best games I've played on the DS so far.
