Recommend 2 recent animes C=

Vampire Ninja
The title basically explains it
but you have to recommend two recent anime shows
(anything in the past year)
that you think everyone should see

You don't have to go into too much detail
just the name of the show
couple of lines that explain why you like it
how many eps you have seen out of how many
and what you would score it at the current time of viewing

1. Bakemonogatari

This show has a rather cool abstract animation style
in the same vein as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei in fact it looks almost exactly like it, has the same animation studio and lead actor.
A big difference between this and Zetsobou is that its much less of a comedy and contains supernatural and mystery elements instead.

The story its self deals with a high school boy named Koyomi Araragi and strange students he encounters.
For example the first one is a girl who has no weight.
There is a rather rather interesting reason why this is but I do not wish to spoil it so you'll just have to see it for yourself. =)

I've seen about 5 episodes out of 15 currently airing btw
and I would give it a 10/10

2.Needless

Okay now this show is not particularly complicated by any means,
The initial reason I was drawn in to watching the show
is because someone said that one of the characters is like one
who was in my favourite show Gurren lagann

"WHAT!!!" I thought
"There's no way that anyone can replace KAMINA!!!"

And so I dove into the show initially wanting to hate it
and so low and behold I dove in to the first episode and kinda did
I thought "This is stupid" and was originally
gonna right it off and give it a six.

But then I'm not sure way about two weeks later I thought huh maybe I should give it another chance and I'm glad I did don't get me wrong the second episode wasn't much to gawk at either but once I got to the third.

It Kinda blew away my pre expectations of it I Actually found it funny
and the episode completely surprised me with its conclusion and so I kept watching and it continued to get better turning into a story much more interesting and surprising then initially expected.
Recommended defiantly especially if you like action series.

Oh and the animation studio that makes it is the same guys who did death note so you should know what kind of quality to expect there.
I should also warn the the show contains a reasonable amount of ecchi and so if you find that kind of thing offensive then I would give a miss,
I Mean just look at the closing animation O_____O.

Should be good if you liked gurren lagann at all
but its defiantly even less depth I mean gurren lagann
at least had a bit of religious imagery contained in it

6 episode out of 24 seen
Defiantly not thought provoking but very entertaining none the less
8/10

Why do you press enter instead of full stops and commas, dude? I dunno about shows from the past year but thanks for reminding me about Bakemonogatari. Been wanting to check that one out myself.

Bakemonogatari is more like a seven out of ten from the 5 episodes I watched. Giving a ten and it's not even complete? Gb2 MAL.

I give a ten based on the 6 episodes i've seen

Why do you give it a 7?

Not enough explosion?

Taking 3 off simply because its currently airing?

That would be ridicules

Because nothing outstanding has happened, two decent stories about paranormal happenings? Not worth ten out of ten, not by a long shot.

Only mecha anime require explosions, maybe as it goes further along it'll get a better rating, but as of now? Naw.

A virgin calling a virgin a virgin? TEN OUT OF TEN.

I'm not just simply looking at the story here
though I did find it rather captivating

have you seen the latest episode the ending to it
was very interesting

Well anyway
Go back to code geass

When I watch it I'll post if I found it to be as good as you said, it's not unlikely, but still.

I don't like Code Geass, you must be getting me confused with Aion!

I was actually expecting more of a reaction from
my rather high score for needless

No code geass?

In that case one of your other Burly man series
like ouran high school ho.....Wha?

I don't really think that anything I could reccomend would not have already been seen by almost everybody here.
But... 'Mushishi' and 'Azumanga Daioh', I guess.

I liked Ouran a lot, even if it was 'for girls'.
My sister liked it a lot too, unsurpisingly.

Vampire Knight

Decent shoujo, worth a look.

Pandora Hearts

Currently still watching, but really good so far. Here's the plot...
Oz Vessalius, heir to one of the duke houses, has just turned fifteen. His life is rich and carefree, darkened only by the constant absence of his father. At his coming-of-age ceremony, however, everything changes. For no reason that he can discern, he's cast into the prison known as the "Abyss", only to be saved by a "chain" known as Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. The mystery there begins as Oz unravels the mystery behind Alice, the Abyss and the strange organization known as Pandora.
