READ OR DIE

well the R.O.D movie is great some parts are a bit confusing but if you know your history you will understand most of this movie. Its like if eveangelion went too far into the culture deep end.

but its really good and i defenitley say you should get this
 
amazing music, high quality animation...it's one of the best action/adventure anime shows around. there are a few obscure historical figures in there but there are character profiles on the DVD if you don't know who they are.

it's a good buy regardless of price but to get the disc for £7.99 it's a bargain! definitely a good chioice. :)

I thought it was really good. Action packed and with an excellent soundtrack. The animation is really good too. Its devided into 3 parts (or vepisodes)which are all really good. If you enjoy then you will have to see the series, ROD TV which is also really really good and is currently being released by MVM with voulme 3 being released next month.
 
I'd highly recommend both the OVA and the TV series, R.O.D. manages to be very Bond-ish at times while retaining a quirky sense of humour and great characters. Also, the ROD TV opening theme is worth buying the DVDs for alone.
 
I managed to get a hold of the second OST CD for the TV series but I haven't seen hide nor hair of the OVA soundtrack or the first TV soundtrack. Any shops able to order them or will I have to import?

Still technically importing (no customs charges mind) but otaku.co.uk have the soundtracks here
 
Thanks. I'll give it a shot. Luckily I have the main OVA theme as an mp3 but I especially want the dance/techno-ish Ode to Joy from episode 3 of the OVA as well as some of the incidental music from the OVA and series. Good stuff. *nod*
