RaptureTV in dispute with BSkyB; may lose channel number

Well bugger me if I don't sit down and take a fist full of Live action on Toonami up the ass like some others would do here.

Point is it's hard not to think that there's someone conspiring to ruin our day in the sun at every given point.

First it's Turner (Oh, we'll have LIVE ACTION on a CARTOON NETWORK, LOL) , then offcom/jetix (LOLZ, NO KIDS IN LIFE/DEATH SITUATIONS!) or (LOL, WE CAN@T SHOOT FISH IN A BARRELL FOR TRYING FOR WE ARE RETARDS) ((Yes, I'm still sore...very...effing...sore)) ) and now even BskyB (LOLZ, TRYING TO LOOK LIKE WE'RE OUTING THE GAME CHANNELS BUT INSTEAD BREAKING OFF EVERYTHING ELSE!!)

so yeah.

Naruto has failed in not attracting enough viewers to jetix, due to jetix lousy time slot.

I am more sick of the fact that we haves so many anime frauds like Martin Mystery, Code Lyoko, Shuriken School, Team Galaxy, Totally Spies, Winx Club, W.I.T.C.H, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Kappa Mikey, Super Robot Monkey Team, Teen Titans, Xiaolin Showdown and yes the list goes on and on. They have better time slots than anime shows of naruto and one peice which both have huge edits in them.

Its kind of ironic of the fact that usa and canada both air bleach on tv this month while we are loosing are anime.
 
Personally I didn’t see much of a change even if Naruto did succeed. With all the edits it became just another kid’s show that just happened to come from Japan. Sure it would have put a few more animes of the same vain of TV but how would this be different than Pokemon putting Digimon, Cardcaptors and a collection of other kids animes on our screens.

If we are to get into peoples minds that anime is not for children or pornographic we need to get something older on TV again. GITS: SAC, ROD, Appleseed, eva and a million more could do the trick. But either way its gonna take us some time.
 
Well, rapture tv. I think you're a huge sucess, I'll say be free channel no longer. I'll be happily [or my parents pay the sky bill anyway] to see rapture as part of the entertainment package. It surly get more anime in and become bigger.

Well, anime has come a long way into the uk and I hope it won't stop now.

To be fair, I offialy like Lyoko, WITCH, Super Robot Monkey Team, Kappa and Avitar.

But Jetix were just hell bent in making every SINGLE mistake they could with Naruto, I Meen there's Video on demand, they could easily host the dub unblemished there with a warning, instead, they're showing pucca.

And hilst pucca is fun, it's still rather sore.
 
Lyoko would be better if Tuerner bloody well put it on at a time i could catch it...

Maybe they'll have a change of heart like Jetix did ManKin...that would be nice.

I HATE Code Lyoko, i can't stand the Voice acting! I like Super Robot Monkey Team, Teen Titans and Avitar.

I think Avitar: Aang the Last Airbender or whatever is the most anime like of them all cos they're on a journey, the characters are deeper then "Oh my God i broke a nail" like in Totally Spies (which i also hate). And i like Martin Mystery. Winx Club is a 4Kids thing so that explans why that's so damn aweful...
 
Is shaman king the only anime sucessful on Jetix, Naruto though mainly aimed at kids in Japan also as UK have different view of censorship.

But *sigh*, I wish the UK have the same censorship attitude as Japan. The BBFC are so bent on ruining Anime, but its thier job at end of day to ensure safety of the younger viewers.

Though BBFC are worse at rating anime when it comes to 12 and 15 age ratings, they are no different to whats worse and whats better of the scenes. Volume 2 of chrono crusade is alot violent than the first, and VOL 2 is a 12 and Vol 1 is a 15.

The bbfc really need to concentrate.

The BBFC have nothing to do with what can or cannot be shown on the TV. The organisation responsible for that is OFCOM and they work to a whole different set of guidlines than the BBFC. Be thankful that OFCOM capitulated on the word "ninja" being allowed to be said in a children's programme. Many years ago Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had to be renamed Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles to get by OFCOM's regulations.

Naruto without "Ninjas" would not make sense although I don't think that would be a problem for Jetix.

I didn't think Ofcom had anything to do Ninja Turtles becoming the Hero Turtles. In fact I think that happened sometime in the mid-to-late 80s before Ofcom was created and was a unilateral decision by the BBC when they bought the series just as they renamed 'Top Cat' as 'Boss Cat'.
 
I just want Jetix to feel every point of hit for thier dumbass handling of Naruto.

What retards.

And they get jack for thier sudden burst of Goodwill as far as ManKin is concerned, if they did that when ManKin was at it's prime, then fair game.

But they suck

I was talking about age ratings, not the anime apearing on tv. Read closer
