Hey guys just wondering what your expencies are of play.com? just to set the scene ... i have brought a couple of games from some play traders and they have come through fine but the stuff that i have brought from play.com itself's it is taking it's time. i brought them on thursday and i am still wanting so how long roughly have you guys wanted for your stuff? also i am waiting on some anime from them as well! let me know what you guys think of play.com!
 
Never had a problem with Play. Usually takes 3-days to a week with orders.

Actually, I did have one issue once, I bought a laptop from them that got half-inched inbetween despatch and my front door. I phoned them about it and I had a replacement laptop in under 24 hours. So really good service.

Waiting for out of stock items to come back in can take a while though. Had to wait over a month on some Chevy D'Eon discs once.

That's two issues. Crap Retailer! Avoid them like the plague! ;p

Like Just passing through said, waiting on out of stock items take a long while, the good thing is that they guarantee the price - i.e. I've got an evangelion tin which was out of stock for about 50, when it came back in stock it was about 80, but I still paid only the 50.

In general, I receive my orders in less than a week though.
 
I order everything from Play including my monitor and they everything normally comes within 2-3 days if it's in stock..
But my friends have waited up to a week for an item.. I don't know why their delivery times was longer.. but Play is normally pretty fast.
 
Ive never really had any problems with them, they send me a wrong item once but i just send that back and they send me the correct item.

As for time wise hmm i think the most ive prob waited for something is about 4 days. But lately its been pretty good i order persona 4 as well i think thursday was sent friday and i recived it yesterday, prehaps your copy will come tomorrow.
 
One CD I ordered when it was out of stock as a Christmas present. 3 months later, no dispatch message whatsoever... they never acknowledged that they were having difficulty getting stock. So I cancelled it and got from an Amazon marketplace seller.

Aside from that, I've never really had a problem with them. You brought something on thursday and it hasn't arrived yet? Err... that's pretty standard. Consume less E numbers.
 
Because they're based in the Channel Islands, packages from Play.com have to pass through customs. You should receive your order 3-5 working days after shipping.
 
I've never had problems with Play, and i've started using their playusa branch a bit as well with the same service. It normally takes 3-5 days depending on when you order.
 
Play are great on price and so long as you're not in a hurry they're a decent store. If I want something fast I go with Amazon as they have expedited shipping options and are usually the same (or 1p less, lately) price for the base item.

I don't like Playtrade at all. They are really bad at dealing with bootleggers and if you have a problem it takes ages to sort out. Their actual shop however, is fine. It's just like Ebay/Zshops - watch out for the shady losers.

My only (quite major) gripe with them in the quality of their packaging and how they store their products.

The amount of times I've received (albeit slightly most of the time) damaged goods is quite stupid.
 
Never had a problem with Play.com myself. Al orders come within a couple of days when instock. Play Traders on the other hand, I tend not to be quite so trusting with as my brother has had a few problems with them in the past.
 
Never had a problem with play.com ,usually get whatever I order with 5 working days.As for the playtrade ,a lot of them are also on amazon and are well worth a look just to see peoples comments on them.
The best trader I have ever dealt with is caiman usa,the only problem been you usually have to wait nearly two weeks for your stuff to arrive but other than that I have found their service to be great.
 
Play is always the first online store which I go to when I want to buy something. It has always taken atleast 2 days, usually 3 though, for my orders to be delivered. Of course there are some exceptions as some orders take longer, just like it states.

"This item is usually dispatched within 24 hours"- is the most popular one, although now there appears to be more of these...

"This item is usually dispatched within 2-3 weeks" - or what have you. That started happening a lot after christmas time, I noticed.

Indeed, but "Out of Stock" seems better to me than "Usually Dispatched within 6-8 weeks".. as Play can usually get the majority of items back in-stock in less than 6-8 weeks, whereas some of their orders take this long.

But this really depends on what the item is.
