Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, the president and CEO of Production I.G., stated at an Anime Expo panel that the script writing for and production of a second season of Psycho Pass are underway.

The Dominators are automated, and work by scanning the state of mind of a potential criminal, even before a crime has been committed. The story follows Akane Tsunemori and her adjusting to this justice system, and the consequences of it.
