PSP base pack price reduced to £129.99 from today

I'd just use an MP3 player with video.

This price is still a fail. If they want to shift some, they should drop it to at least £100. That's how much it costs for a DS with a game or just a DS Lite. Not that many people will buy it anyway.
 
I use mine to watch my anime when I'm at work and hosting clients outside of the main building.

I don't have many games for it though, just the GTA series, Darkstalkers and NFS, I really need to stop renting games for it and buy an RPG.

I sometimes wish I'd bought a DS instead so I could play pokemon and the Final Fantasy games

I want to get a DS now because of the Pokemon games, i find them always enjoyable to play.

My bro-fer has a DS Lite, so i possible could just get either Pearl or Diamond and play it on it while he is away, since the Game Data is saved onto the Game cartridge.

I don't understand, the PSP has tonnes of great games available, atleast in North America, which shouldn't be a problem since the games are Region Free.Tell me LocoRoco is crap, and that Ratchet & Clank:Size Matters deserves to be run over, then tell me Metal Gear Solid: Portable Opps is a disgrace to the Kojima Development Team, tell me Daxter should never have been made. Tell me, there was a time where the PSP had more games with a 8+ out of 10 then the DS, as that was a while ago I can't be certain about it being right today. People always say there is nothing good, but they don't search, not many know that there are now 5 Final Fantasy games for the Handheld(3 Being Remakes though, the first 1 out later this month in NA, and the second next month),not many know about Monster Hunter Freedom(Part 2 in September for both NA, and UK apparently), or LocoRoco, or Killzone:Liberation, and the fact that the legacy the Original PlayStation had can live on the PSP through Legal Downloads via The PlayStation Network Platform. Not to mention that the anime games may start to trickle in(The Naruto Game will be out on the PSP in August in NA), as its only a matter of time until someone release the Eureka Seven and Bleach:Heat The Soul series.Seriously, the PSP isn't crap, and for a handheld business dominated by one company for a considerable amount of time, it's a great first try, still though you're getting ripped off, in Canada the machine is now $200(Around 100 Pounds), in the US its $150-$170(75-85 Pounds), but it looks like that is the norm for everything in Europe.

EDIT- Today Square Enix annoucued another Final Fantasy game for the PSP chocking it up to 5.
 
See thats the problem, none of these games are in the UK and I really can't be bothered to import them as I prefer to try games out and if I don't like them take them back to the stores.

I will be getting the naruto game thought and I wish they would hurry up and release the Bleach one too
 
The PSP has good games, it just doesn't have any amazing games that warrant the console's purchase.

Oh, and what Japanese console doesn't have five Final Fantasy games? FF is no longer a sign of quality anymore, unfortunately, it's just a sign of cow's udders.
 
Picked up a Pink PSP brand new for £100 whilst I was on holiday in Thailand last December, don't understand why the prices are still so high here.

Bought a PSP initially just to play Loco Roco and Katamari, and have since found lots of great RPGs on it.

You can download demos onto your PSP aswell, I've never done it, but apparently, some stores like EB Games, will have Kiosks similair to the DS Download Station and allow you to download demos. Or you could go the uhm not moral and ilegal route...

The Bleach game(s) is due to Viz undoubtly, they've had the liscence for little over a year, and have yet to liscence the series to any video game companies. I guess they're to busy with the 1 Million(Exageration) different Kon Buttons they have been making :roll: .

Point taken on SqureEnix being a Cow, but apparently Crisis Core: FF VII, will be the best looking game on the handheld, as apparently it has more detail then Kingdom Hearts on the PS2, the game was just showed off yesterday, along with the other 4 FF PSP games.
 
It took a long time to announce it was actually a game though, and it looks like a cheap cash in. Like Dirge of Cerberus.
