So is the only way to get the bonus features to buy at least the "Collector's Edition Combi Pack"? :-/

Kind of sucks and blows at the same time, but at least it's only about £3 more than the stand-alone BD on play.com, etc.

Yeah, it's even wonderfully placed on the front of the cover, too. I still forsee some people trying to fit it into their DS, though. >_>

The Combi Pack looks nice, but until Manga stop region locking all of their discs I'm going to have to import this instead at some point. I can't play UK blu-rays :(

I hope that this gets the interest of some of the DS fans since the games seem to sell like hot cakes here.

So, these won't work in my DS? [/sarcasm]

tbh, is the price jump really that worth a 160-page storyboard and the artbox? I mean, the DVD-Blu-ray combi has the extra 36-minute thing, and would be easier to store.

Maybe there are 3000 people out there with more money than sense.

*raises hand*

I am also newly unemployed. I think that odd looking puddle on the floor is the remnants of my sense. Quickly, must gather it up before all of it is gone!

Ugh... Only 3,000 and it comes with a 630 page storyboard book and it's Professor Layton...

Collector's edition... limited... rare...

Must... not... impulse... buy...

*Collapses*

Can someone explain to me the point of a Blu-Ray and DVD combi? I mean... surely if you have a Blu-Ray player you wouldn't watch the DVD, and if you only have a DVD player you wouldn't want the Blu-Ray?

I am just missing something?

It's for people who plan on getting a Blu-ray eventually, but want to watch the movie now, dammit!

Also useful for kids bedrooms, where there's probably only a DVD player, while the Blu-ray in the lounge can be used to watch Evangelion or something.

Combi packs, IMO, are just totally wasteful. The average buyer is not going to buy BDs until they have a player. They probably *lower* sales in fact, because I just give my DVD copies away to friends & relatives.

Then you will have an empty disc space inside the case.... It'll be incomplete! It will feel wrong, like something is missing...
