Was curious to see what others think of this.

Got this game about a week or so ago, finished it on friday, and being honest, it was worth every penny. Fighting wise i wasn't sure at first how one on one(or two) fighting would do, but its works really well, and graphically it looks stunning. Story wise too its nice, its good to see that the Prince this time isn't a Prince. He's also the most talkative one i've seen as well. The only problem i found with the game, and i think its a minor one, is that you can't die. Pretty obvious they'll have a sequel too.

I'm not dying for it, but it's a Christmas game and I'm really looking forward to it, only thing I don't like the sound of is how you can't really die.

While the dialogue, art and music look/sound nice, everything else seems a bit dull. Seems like the typical "get from point A to point B without dying" type of game, except you can't die, which is worse.

I'm getting sick of these games that hold your hand while you play.

Personally, I finished PoP the other day, and it felt more like Prince of Purgatory. It was a very good looking game, the plot was ok, the dialogue was fun, but the actual gameplay was incredibly mediocre.

I found the levels highly repetitive, simply having to get through the ooze (or whatever it was called), hit buttons against the boss until I won, and then redo the area to get orbs.

The movement system was ok, but I felt that Assassin's Creed and Mirrors' Edge were quite a bit more responsive and that I had more control. As for the battle system, it was ok, but the button response video-things were a bit to repetitive.

While it's true you can't die, there is an achievement you get if you can complete the game without getting "saved" by Elika too many times, so I guess that's the incentive for some people to avoid a would-be death caused by reckless exploration or something.

I'm still enjoying the experience regardless of it's lack of difficulty though.

I hate those things. Why are they appearing in every action/adventure game now?
Soon, in the future, we'll get "games" that feature a couple of them every half-hour or so to split up the strong mythology and character development.

It'll be like playing a graphically intense DVD game.

As for PoP. I have it around the house somewhere, but I'm being good and since I have nothing to look forward to on Christmas, I'm gonna play it then. I got it from Play.com's Monday Madness a while back - £18. I'm not excited at all, but I think I'll enjoy it since it's easy, and I like easy games.
