Not much but we're getting there, according to ANN Pretty Cure will be shown on the Popgirl channel (Sky channel 626) in the UK starting next Monday at 7am.

So, that's 2 that are being shown on PopGirl (Along with Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power)

Pop Girl is a free to view channel apparently only on the Sky box, in other words you don't need a subscription to see it. The Sky box can be purchased from various places and a subscription is not needed if one wants to use it as a Freeview box, however you can not see anything transmitted by B. Sky B. without a subscription, but Sky have deals going that will give one a free Sky+HD box, which will work on an older SD tele as well, with a basic package of your choice when you sign up for Talk and Broadband for £20 a month.

[edit] updated that it's only on the Sky platform.

i just wish a company would release them on dvd in Japanese with subs
but prob be the terrible dub only edited dvd if it ever does

also lol at Natalie and Hannah

All I just wish is that CSC media will come to their senses and put an Anime Central time slot on their other channels Kix and Pop.

Here is a cut of Wiltshire ham:

I'd say it's pretty cured.
So much so, however, that I'd rather have the ham than watch the series also claiming to be similarly cured. It is most fortunate that I have some ham.

Is Pretty Cure heavy on the merchandising? The voice cast looks like something from Blue Water Studios, which suggests that it might not be. If this is the case, then I'm very slightly reassured; most anime we receive on television in the U.K. is usually geared towards selling a toy or product. Getting something that actually just functions as an enjoyable viewing experience--hopefully this'll be the case, too--is something worth being content about, I think.

Isn't pop girl on Freesat? I could swear up and down.

But at this point, Precure is better than nothing, I guess.

And to those complaining, it could have been a lot worse; Kix could have retroactively gotten the rights to Digimon Frontier.

And now I am reminded that mess exists.

Excuse me, gonna go summon my persona.

So yeah, it aired. And some how CSC Media lost the ending credits and have somehow gotten part of an episode of Phantom Cat loged into the end.

This doesn't bode well for the "Lets hope this leads to One Piece on Kix" movement.

And before you ask, I watched because SCIENCE!

One Piece is sometimes on CN:Too
I wouldn't be surprised if their doing that to just skirt their contract and prevent someone else getting the funi/toei rights to air it on TV.

This is the same Turner that lead CNX to is slow death, after all.

Hell, maybe it's that that's stopping Manga from getting the series and they're hiding behind Toei being idiots because (besides the fact that this is just a diffrent version of stupid than the "make manga pay far too much for OP") it's easier to understand than the backstage buggeration of Turner.

Worst part is, CN:Too is CNX.
When they stopped CNX they replaced it with Toonami, then they lost the rights to DBZ and started showing Parker Lewis Can't Lose. Since that got low ratings, they replaced it with CN:Too, which is probably why they still have the rights to One Piece/Batman

As far as I'm concerned, CN:Too is another beast altogether.

And Tuner still have the rights to One Piece because Toei can't keep it's house in order and should have taken the rights back when 4kids withdrew from the licence.

And I'm sure as hell that the tapes for Precure probably came in to CSC's possession fubard as they are such that they best they could do is slap bits of PhantomCat in to stop the system from exploding (or something).

Toei strike me as the sort to run the completely roughshod thanks to the obscene amount they make from Dragonball.

Thanks the lord I have a teenage daughter who wants to watch this, but after 3 episodes I'm bored with it already. Nice to see this is pure Toei, with no 4Kids filtering, but even Toei had to doctor the tranformation sequence, Shame about the names though, but they kept the Japanese name for the No designed villain. I guess in North American it's alright for Japanese villains to have Japanese names, but not the blatantly obvious Japanese heroines, especially in Canada where there is a large population of Japanese expats.
