I was hoping people would pick up on that in my post and chain post after me, but maybe I'm the only person who finds those kinds of posts amusing =(
 
Portal's humour has kind of been quoted to death though. Every webcomic, without fail, posted a 'cake is a lie' strip within a week of release. Even some of the genuinely funny webcomics probably did. Or at least, I'm assuming genuinely funny webcomics exist, since all the **** ones seem to be copying something.
 
The cake is a lie was never really funny to begin with. Portal was a good game regardless, but my PC is terrible, so I'm unsure whether I should take up the offer or not. If I get Steam can I just download it then never use it so some time down the line when I get a better PC play it then?

I'm not PC master race, so I really don't know.

That's how it works, so long as you remember your password (you don't even need to download the game, just tie it to your account and download it whenever). You'll be surprised what the source engine can scale back to anyway.

Cake is a lie is now synonymous with THIS IS SPARTA and Why so serious in terms of quotes which were once good but now any mention makes you want to punch someone.

I would have picked that up if I saw your post but I just posted in the thread without reading anything aside from the title and the link.
