Weird, the last anime I saw on the BBC was Astro Boy -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfr-48LJ-yI

Pokemon is mainstream and they are starting from a good position, Diamond and Pearl was where a lot of the ex 4Kids VAs came in. The only other anime the BBC have shown AFAIK are the Ghibli movies

yeah, bit strange seeing it on the Beeb, they don't normally like anime even the kiddy stuff at least not post 2003. Is the Daily Mail going to throw a hissy fit?

The article has since been updated - other online sources mention the BBC will also be showing Pokemon: Black and White in the autumn.

Now you can catch Pokémon on the BBC this summer

The Pokémon animation will be heading to the BBC for the first time this August....
