what do you think of the seire Planetes?
ive seen up to vol 4 and im really likeing it.
im not sure why i like it so much as most of it seems to be about everyday life problems , but that could be the main reason i like it. ive not seen any other anime like this one, which i think is a reason i like it too as i like things different and not the same old thing over and over again. the seire also has alot of darma to it too which keeps me hooked and wanting to see the next eps as i want to see what happens and how each of them grow.
 
I agree, PlanetES is a brilliant series. The space setting makes for some beautiful visuals but it's the character drama that really stands out. It is a mature anime series and seems to operate beyond what is cliche within the anime genre. I give it two thumbs up (and I'd give it three if I had three hands! ;) )
 
Wholeheartedly concurred. It's the most realistic and probable portrayal of life in space I've seen, but I particularly like the way the universe takes a back seat to the development of the very human characters and their daily lives. I think the OP is also great, with a uplifting song and almost inspirational images.
