Peter Fernandez (the voice of Speed Racer) Passes Away

It has been reported on ANN that Peter Fernandez, the dub voice for the original incarnation of Speed Racer has passed away after loosing his fight with lung cancer at the age of 83.

Fernandez lent his voice tellents to the likes of Speed Racer, Astro Boy, Star Blazers and Lupin the III: Secret of Mamo, he also contributed voice directing tallents to over 40 shows and films.

This marks the second death in the "old guard" of anime in the last few months with the loss of Carl Macek (Robotech) in April.

R.I.P. the guy was a complete legend and his voice talents can be heard in some of the greatest anime shows ever made,very sad news indeed.
