Disc elements are being handled by GKids for Perfect Blue from an existing master. Iirc Akira is a new master from a BFI print as opposed to the one previously released by Funimation.

I wonder akira how is going to look since its a new master and I hope it has the og 5.1 truehd full bit rate Japanese mix plus the og English dub as well and the dolby atmos mix that’s on the Chinese 4k release.

That'd be curious. I don't think Akira really needs a new master, but I'd be very surprised if there were elements outside of Japan that would be good enough to give a result better than what we already have. FWIW, the BFI National Archive lists its only holding as beng a 35mm positive.
