Patema Inverted to be Released in the UK

According to Anime New Network the anime Patema Inverted has been licensed for the UK market. Apparently, an announcement was made during its introduction at Scotland Love’s Animation’s Edingburgh run. No details like who has licensed the anime or release dates were given.


 

Synopsis

The story takes place in an underground world where the inhabitants exist in tunnels and confined spaces and must wear protective clothing. Despite this, these underground people still enjoy life, especially Patema, the princess of her underground village who loves to explore. Her fascination with exploration leads her to a forbidden area where she meets a boy named Age who operates under different gravitational circumstances. The two may come from very different societies but will face strange situations together!

Patema Inverted is the latest title from Yasuhiro Yoshiura, creator of Time of Eve and Pale Cocoon and will screen at the Leeds International Film Festival.

As I mentioned to someone from another anime website during the London Film Festival, my money is on this being an Anime Limited Release. If it turns out to be the case then Perfect Blue, Patema Inverted, Garden of Words are a nice run of titles.

yeah, by the way jonathan mentioned it before the film started in SLA, it looks to be a pick up from Anime Limited. I won't complain though, since the film was easily the best of the event(it did win the audience and judges awards in Edinburgh) So i'm excited to see what kind of release they come up with for it, especially after seeing how nice the Perfect Blue set looks.
