One Piece

Screen-caps from One Piece: Movie 6. I don't usually bother with SJ movies, but the fact this was animated by Norio Matsumoto (THAT episode from Naruto vs. Sasuke etc) swayed me, and frankly, this is a great action movie. It's a lot darker than the typical One Piece episode too - the scene when literally thousands of arrows rain down on Luffy has to be seen to be believed.
 
By the screenshots, it does look much darker. I've been interested in seeing the movies recently, so i may watch this one when i get through the other 5. The newest one, the retelling of the arabalsta arc is one i wouldn't mind seeing, though from what i heard, there is a lot missing from it.

Thats what give One Piece its main appeal, it looks funky and childish but tends too be darker and has the broad range of characters, with sad scenes to comical laughter than most of the other Shonen Jump animes.
 
Here's some screencaps from One Piece movie 8, Episode of Arabasta: The Desert Princess and the Pirates. Alot of the Arabasta arc was cut/changed to fit the story into 90 mins (though they added some of Robin's back story for no apparent reason other than to fill up time :? ), still good if you have 90 mins of free time :lol:
 
Oh, how I love One Piece. Catching up with Enies Lobby now. I just love some of these character designs.
 
One Piece has reached it's next big turning point, the revealing of their new ship the Thousand Sunny (which got it's 1st anime apearance in a promo trailer for Movie 9 before this point :? ). I was a bit disappointed when I saw it for the 1st time in the manga but it does look better in colour :)
