One piece boxsets

But does the 360 read copied dvd's?

EDIT: Ripping it from a dvd then copying the files too the 360 seems too much hassle for 4 episodes or so >_<

Computer drives can change region a certain number of times (usually 5) before they lock to whatever region they are on when you use up the final change. Weird system I know.
The halerious thing is, all the Region checking is on the program side, so if one was to use, say, VLC or MPC to play DVDS, it will play regardless.

I've heard that's the case, but I find some of my R1 DVD's play through VLC and some won't load. Not tried it since getting CCCP & MPC though, will give it a go with some of the discs that failed on VLC.

But you can't say that it wouldn't sell well. it would make sense for someone to license it

But the problem lies with the people who have the license now, its the same problem with the DBZ boxsets. At the end of the day the people who have the license will only probably part with it after they have been offered a silly amount of money

Hi Black, I don't get this... Someone has the license and don't release it in hopes money simply drops in their lap?

If i'm remembering it right they have already released it elsewhere in europe...just not here and show no sign of doing so (other then those godawful DBZ movie dubs a couple of years back assuming that they are from the same people)

Of course i could be wrong about all this and i hope i am (Prove me wrong Manga announce One Piece in the new year) Though still the DBZ boxsets can be played on our DVD players so might as well get them

I see, basically it got a German release (or french, or polish, or spanish?) by some company that does not operate in the UK and they are hppy with the figures they've got and if you want to release it in the UK, you got pay a lot of money for it... on the other hand, US DBZ release is region free >>

Even if one piece is not region free, a region free DVD player is not that difficult to get.

In general, the idea of international licencing (Like most "ideas") is fair enough, but when it stops things from coming to a country (Like DBZ, One PIece and any non OG Super Robot Wars), that's when the idea kinda goes south.
