This news came out at the end of last month, so it's old, but I've only just come across it.

So far, there seem to be only plans for an online release - nothing in physical form. But I guess at some point, if enough view it online, it'll be released in book form.

I really want to read Bokurano. The anime was let down by crappy CG mecha action, so the action should be more enjoyable in the manga, but what I'm really interested in is the huge amount of changes the director of the anime is supposed to have made to the story. The anime was dark, so I can only imagine how twisted the manga will be. The obvious change the anime made is during the teacherxstudent arc - there's supposed to be a graphic sex scene in the manga, so putting two and two together...

I heard a while ago, I wanted Dark Horse to get it, I'd full price for it absolutely uncut.

... Damn, it seems I can't find the scan I uploaded of the loli sex moment which would entice Aion. Oh well.

This will have to do. (Spoilers ahead ?)

If it's loli sex, no interest. If it's school girl with breasts, interest.

The art looks less than appealing in the above page. The girl looks like in the anime, but not very pleasing.

I remember the guy in the picture - didn't he try to rape the girl and end up getting crushed to death by a collapsing building in the anime?

Since it'll take forever for the physical copies to be sold, I might just read Bokurano online before its release in English. It's only 56 chapters long, right?

1. Too bad.
2. If you read manga based on artwork, you're doing it wrong. (I shouldn't have to tell you this of all people, dawg.)
3. Yes. In the manga it's different and far better.
4. Read it online, then buy it. It's that good.

I loved the anime and I'll wait for the mangas to be puplished in english :) I hate to read scanlations - it's just much more comfortable to sit with a book in your hands when reading ;)

The anime is worth owning for for the opening alone - I hope Funimation get around to licensing it at some point. Wonderful song, and the collection of images of the tragic cast added to its epicness.

Unless you're a lesbian, I can understand you not thinking a great deal of Kannazuki.

The character clips in the opening are actually all taken from the episodes themselves. Mostly from their last episodes.

Bokurano is a weird (and disturbing) series where characters die after getting developed. If an episode is devoted to a certain character, then you can be pretty sure that it'll be one of his/her last.

Providing you like series with lots of character development and death, as well as poor CG attempts, you'll like Bokurano.

It's better. Shadow Star is decent but, in comparison, silly and a little boring. Bokurano hooked me from the get-go, where as Shadow Star starts out like ******* Pokemon.

Bokurano 1 is now out. The problem is, Amazon and TBD both want £8 for it, which is rather high when the likes of Ikigami and 20th Century Boys go for £5-6.

...I want to collect each release ASAP, but the pricing and fact I've read like five volumes online are combining to make me wait. -_-

Maybe the prices will drop once Bokurano gets a 'proper' UK release later this year?
