I still havn't seen the first one. I'm hoping for a limited cinema release but deep down I know the best I can hope for is DVD. Maybe Bluray if I have a player by then.

Beautiful animation, good to Asuka and other characters getting (re)involved too.

Hopefully this film will be slightly more adventurous with the plot than the last. The first one was brilliant in itself, but next to the series it offered little in the way of new content or ideas.

It is a retelling of events in a slightly different manner which incorporates an alternative conclusion, an ending as well.

That new Eva, it looks interesting. Could it be that Anno will break the balance with some additional kaijuu?

Keep in mind it won't be fighting on the earth's surface. Where it will actually be fighting isn't clear yet.
