Buy from Amazon: Ninja Scroll Blu-ray/DVD Steelbook

An adult ticket is the exact price of the normal Blu-ray on Amazon! That's seriously tempting...I still haven't seen Ninja Scroll either.

As a matter of fact, I just suggested Manga to bring some copies of the steel book and sell an "upgrade" at the event.... I know I wold buy it.

That would be an instant sell for me too, I find it very hard to resist steelbooks :p

This is somewhat tempting for me, as I would imagine seeing Ninja Scroll on the big screen would be pretty cool. But still, even though I get a copy of the blueray, I'm not a 100% sure I can justify the £17.60 it would cost me to book a ticket (and that's with the £1 student discount)...hmm.

I think all of this is worth it. =) But then again, Being a student one doesn't usually have much money to spare.

I can't wait for this! I've already booked by ticket.

It's going to be brilliant - and I totally agree with Chaos, it's such a bargain! The price to see the film on the big screen is about the price of the blu-ray itself, so how can anyone possibly resist?

Bring on Friday 16th Nov! It's going to be brilliant.

Seeing the word "premiere" there reminds me, can anyone recall if Ninja Scroll had a cinema release back when Manga picked it up originally? Can't be certain, but I have this hazy recollection of seeing a Ninja Scroll poster up in the Glasgow Film Theatre in '96 or '97...

I'm not about to pick a fight with the Picturehouse over the semantics, but it came up when we were recording the Kawajiri podcast and I couldn't find any definitive evidence one way or the other.

From Manga UK Press Release: "It gives us great pleasure to provide a sneak preview of the stunning artwork created by the acclaimed British illustrator (of Scott Pilgrim and Call of Duty fame) Sam Gilbey...

The teaser image (attached) is a small section of the limited edition Ninja Scroll poster that will only be available to those attending the Ninja Scroll premiere on 16th November, and will be signed by Sam Gilbey too!

In his own words about the teaser image, Sam says that,

"I often include portraits of real people in my work and capture likenesses, but because Ninja Scroll is hand-drawn in a very specific way, I felt it was important to reinterpret the characters in my own style. Here's a sneak peek at a small detail, specifically Kagero, the beautiful ninja."

Looks at list.......so I guess I'll be watching it on blu-ray then.

I'll be heading down to London later tonight just for this! It's going to be great - I can't wait to meet the artist.

Looks like they're showing the film here in Norwich too - think I may have to go and watch it twice then :p

Maybe the full version looks better...
I kinda liked the full poster. The focus of it is Benisato, with other characters around her, including Kagero.

Hey MrNinjaMan, you were there as well?
I love re-watching Ninja Scroll yet again on the big screen. It's such a fantastic film. The BD and the poster were amazing perks.
