New US DVD anime licenses at Anime Boston

Over the weekend at the Anime Boston convention two new US DVD anime licenses were announced - ADV have snapped up the 12 episode science fiction series Innocent Venus while Geneon confirmed their intentions to release the fan-service driven Zero no Tsukaima.

Paul, it's very unfair to call Zero no Tsukaima fan-service driven! Anime that deserves that is something like Mahoromatic, but the amount in Tsukaima is probably more comparable to Chobits. I agree Tsukaima is very light-hearted and does play alot on the "moe" factor of its characters, but equally it's quite entertaining and has a few nice story mechanics to get into.

The lightnovel is better, Louiese doesn't seem like such a brat.

However, one of the darker rumors going on from AB is that GaoGaiGar is going to get haitused in favour of, of all the stupid, retarded shows ever, Voltron.
