Following on from the news about Un-Go the official website for Guilty Crown, Fuji TV’s other property in the Noitamina block, has a new two minute promotional video. Guilty Crown comes from Production I.G. and is an original project.
Synopsis:
Tokyo, 2039. Following the outbreak of a virus named "Lost Christmas" in 2029, Japan has been under the rule of a multinational organization called GHQ. 17 year old Ohma Shu has psychic powers in his right hand known as "Ability of King" to extract tools or weapons from others. However he has been keeping a low-profile and tries to avoid others until he meets a girl named Yuzuriha Inori, a member of a resistance group called "Undertaker" battling GHQ.
The production staff includes many anime veterans like director Araki Tetsuro (Death Note, Highschool of the Dead), scriptwriter Yoshino Hiroyuki (Macross Frontier), original character design and music from Supercell members Redjuice and Ryo respectively. Supercell also step in with the opening theme, “My Dearest” and the production of the end theme “Departures – Anata ni Okuru Ai no Uta” with vocals by EGOIST, a band in the show who is actually portrayed by a real life artist named chelly. The anime will premiere on 13th of October in Fuji TV’s noitaminA block alongside Bones’ Un-Go detective series
