New Death Note trailer online

This looks fantastic, can't wait to see it. I still haven't read the manga either, so I'm going into this blind.

The trailer itself is a bit weird - it's looks more like a teaser for a horror film than that of a suspense thriller. I've been looking this up already and it appears that they are casting Tatsuya Fujiwara (of BR fame) in the lead - this ought to be good.

The manga is one of my all time faves too so I'll be really interested in how they go about this.

The fact that its being directed by the guy who did Azumi 2 makes me somewhat nervous, but the teaser is pretty sweet so it should be good *fingers crossed*.

im a big fan of the manga, i am just hoping that this film is good. i would also like to see the actuall shinagami's in action, expecting some cool cgi.
cant wait!

I really want this, but I can't find the manga on sale anywhere!

Does it even exist!?

Cannot wait to see this movie :3 I love the manga!
And there were a lot more appearances from Ryuuk in the new Trailer, and I think he looks pretty good!
*Way too excited*

Not in standard UK bookshops, but you can buy it easily through Amazon UK. Each issue costs £4.24 and there are currently 5 volumes available out of around 14 (I don't know the exact figure; 8 chapters a volume, 108 chapters in total according to Wikipedia). Four volumes costs £16.96 and pushes the cost over the £15 free delivery offer. I bought the first 2 volumes this way along with volumes 3 and 4 of Hikaru No Go (which rocks btw!).

On Topic: The trailer's look great; I've seen the two newest I think. The one posted on here was excellent and looks very faithful to the original material and the one I saw before was awesome just because of Ryuk appearing at the end. Ryuk looks fantastic floating alongside Light. I haven't read enough to know how they'll split the manga into two films but hopefully they'll turn out well.

Awesome trailer, everything looks in place and looks to be going up to around the 5th volume. I hope they let this go into a sequel or maybe a trilogy so they dont ruin what could be a great live action film from a manga.

Apparently its going to be 2 movies, both have been filmed, the first is out this summer in japan and then the second is out in the winter (I think its October but not positive).
