The video and that last image seem to suggest at least part of the story covered in the TV anime is being redone (although it could be a recap style flashback). Looks good animation wise, though I'm concerned about the length and consequent compression of the story which may occur. High production values are all well and good, I just hope they don't blow their budget in two OVA's.

I kinda new that this would happen. Let's face it, Berserk is one of the greatest manga ever. It's anime was a huge success and would have been bigger if it concluded. And, well, it has a solid fanbase that would eat this up.

That more or less confirms a reboot then, one of those scenes looks like the first encounter with Zodd while another appears to be an earlier one of Casca's. Also looks as though those leaked screencaps from before were the real deal too (I spotted a match of at least one in there).
 
I think it's going to be more than reboot. I mean the Zodd bit is the same as the leaked screen from last year, and that came with three other screens, long haired casca, puck and one of guts being guts. We also saw in the first trailer, Guts with his prosthetic hand and lacking an eye, so i think it'll go beyond it. I'm just glad to see the Skull Knight finally too.

Regardless, HD casca = win.
 
I would imagine if they are to include the Skull Knight, they'd include Puck. Besides, i think the screens leaked are legit now, and they did show an animated puck in one of them.
 
All I care about is seeing the Band of the Hawk arc given the HD treatment; including the bits missed out by the first anime. The parts after that with the annoying fairy, monster hunting and horseman raping? Nah; not my thing. I'd watch it but not love it.

If it's going to be a full-on, till the very end version, then skipping volumes would be silly. It isn't as if new chapters come out fast and the series will be ending soon. I don't think anyone wants to wait for a third adaptation; one with the proper ending!
