Escaflowne was an 'almost, nearly, but not quite' - fantasy anime just doesn't do it for me.

Ergo Proxy is high on my list of shows to buy. But not at that RRP. No way.
 
Ergo Proxy was re-released last year / early this year as well, so does this mean it's selling well and they've had to produce more?

HdE, don't think I've ever seen a new-from-major-retailer copy below about £27. I gave up and started renting it.
 
I'd hope Ergo Proxy IS selling well - it seems to be the type of anime that can hold an appeal outside the hardcore anime fan base, a bit like GITS: SAC.

And don't misunderstand me on the point of RRP. I actually had the re-releases in mind when I posted earlier. If sales are good, it'd be nice to think the set might become a little more affordable.
 
up1 were selling the Ergo Proxy singles for £18 in total a little while ago as one of the sale bundles or whatever they call them. Can't see them on there now, though, so unfortunately this post is basically useless. ^^;

Ergo Proxy has gone on the same list as Samurai Seven. It WILL grace my shelf in the fullness of time. But I'll be putting pennies away for it here and there as opposed to rushing to buy it.

Those 1p pieces I get every time I buy a KitKat, the change I get from a pint of beer... ah yes. It all goes a long way!

Giving serious thought to picking up either Solty Rei or Samurai Seven in the near future too. Samurai Seven gets a UK re-release in December, I think?
