New Anime Releases - 22/02/2015

There is also the live-action "Black Butler" film released this week, but I wasn't sure about adding it to this list because strictly speaking it is not an anime film, just anime-related.

I've reviewed both of this week's titles for the website.

Michiko and Hatchin I have the SAVE Blu-Ray pre-ordered.

Fairy Tail I am buying US collections now as Manga are virtually dead to me.

I started collecting Fairy Tail through the US parts so I'll continue doing so, now that this UK release is a disaster. Erza would not be pleased with this.

And I need to get the second half of Michiko & Hatchin from Funimation before the S.A.V.E. gets released (otherwise I'll get another Shiki disaster. Luckily there are still copies of the Limited Edition artbox which aren't being used for the S.A.V.E. so that should mean it might last a little while longer (a la Strike Witches). US release is [A|B|1|4] compatible if anyone wanted a Blu-ray version).

Just putting it out there that the Live Action Black Butler movie is Hardsubbed unlike Rurouni Kenshin. Seems worth posting as I know some people might take issue with this.
I've been purchasing Fairy Tail from the US for a while now, but what Manga are doing with the series in the UK - especially now - is a complete disaster. They either need to own up and start caring about their products or die quickly.

Fairy Tail is something I wanted to start once I finished Bleach, but being DVD only and such it's a pass from me, just have to watch elsewhere as my region free player is knackered so US Blurays are a no until I buy a new one.

I bought the US Blurays of Michiko & Hatchin when MVM confirmed their release was DVD only.

Fairy Tail US BDs up to Part 10 are Region AB, the lock applies from Part 11. Madman Australian Fairy Tail BDs will work after that.
You know, I'm forever forgetting that Aus BDs are a option....prob not the place to ask, but I have never imported from Aus, where on earth would I buy from? Would Madman ship to the UK if bought directly from them or would I need to look elsewhere? Shame United Publications don't stock them. Thanks anyway, think I'll order the 3 collections of the US version and go from there.

If you ask UP1 they can order them in for you, although it will be a tad dearer. I've bought directly from Madman in the past and have had no problems, well one problem with a shattered case, but they sent me a new one.

Madman do ship directly to the UK as i've bought both books and DVD's from them. Plus for the anime i bought was over the custom threshold and they undervalued it on the custom for so i didn't get hit. http://www.madman.com.au/

Not interested in Manga's release of Fairy Tail. Will most likely pick up the US release.

Already own the US (Blu-ray) release of Michiko & Hatchin.
