Yaahh... Still conflicted over Mushishi. Do not want crappy thinpack with episodes compressed onto less discs... Do not want to have to shell out more for the single volumes now a series box is available...

At this point in time I'm more inclined to just say "Sod it" and buy Moon Phase instead.

You'd really buy Moon Phase over Mushishi because it has nicer packaging? Would you be interested in the gift-boxed turd I'm selling? :p

Although I guess that's easy for me to say, what with my gorgeous artbox and singles with slipcovers, booklets and postcards :twisted:
 
Well the expo is a 'pioneer' day for me. not an awful lot but still.


anyhow i notice that the R2 for moon phase mimics that of the R1, which i have to say looks better then madman's. Though i was lucky i only got Moon Phase for 13 pound, bitchin' :p

I like to stick to my guns until they're securely held there by rigor mortis. If said turd is packaged in a quality four disc digipack with Mushishi artwork on then I might consider it.

When thinpack Mushishi drops to the £15-£20 it's worth, I will buy it. ;)
 
Moon Phase is a fun show but Mushishi is just quality, but because of the type of show it is it is never going to get the same hype as the next big teen thing. Which I think is a good thing.
 
Not rushing out to grab them with my current backlog but Moon Phase and Mushishi are definite pickups when the time is right. Not a bad week for releases.

I need to finish picking up all the Mushishi DVDs. Definately glad I got in early with the artbox+volume 1. It looks a lot nicer than the complete series box.
 
Mushishi is great to watch if you can't sleep. I highly recommend it.

It'll never drop to £15-£20. MVM/Revelation 26 episode sets never do...or at least I don't recall any doing so.
 
For those who have concerns about Mushi-shi's disc count. Don't worry. That's the US box pictured, and it's Funimation who are compressing six disc series onto four now.

Revelation won't go for the extra expense of remastering and reauthoring. They'll stick with the original discs. Besides their PR material does confirm that the collection will have six discs. I don't know how they'll squeeze them into such a small box though.

That could change things... I just wish some companies were better at PR. I want to know exactly what it is I'm getting before I order anything. I imagine it'll still be a thinpack, but if each disc has it's own case I might be prepared to up the price I'd pay to £25.
 
I'll buy Mushishi 5 and 6 soon. Hell, I can't even remember, I might have bought 5, haven't watched it at all. Waiting for the final DVD which is here.

I agree - it's perfect for those two sets of people. That's why I stopped watching after two episodes; my taste is excellent.
